Your Own AI. Built Around Your Needs.
Not a chatbot you open and close. A private assistant that remembers your priorities, your people, and your way of working, ready the moment you need it.
memcor is short for memory cortex, your always-on second brain. It remembers everything and gets sharper the more you use it, so month twelve is smarter than month one.
You didn't build a business to spend your mornings searching for things.
Where did I save that? Didn't we already solve this? What did that client say six months ago? What should I actually focus on today?
Every founder and executive carries this overhead. memcor exists to carry it instead.
An assistant that never clocks out.
memcor runs around the clock, with a memory of who you are, what you're working on, and how you like things done.
Your computer is no longer for typing. You hand it work from your phone and it gets done, whether you are at your desk or not.
It stays on
A dedicated Mac mini runs your assistant 24/7. It is the bridge that puts your whole brain in your pocket: always on at home, reachable from your phone anywhere.
Your Brain
A private, plain-text vault holds your context, your preferences, and your history. You own it outright.
Reach it anywhere
From your phone or any browser. Ask, delegate, check in.
It learns you
The longer it runs, the more it knows, and the less you have to explain.
You wake up at 6:40. Your briefing is already written: the three things that matter today, the deadlines creeping up, the one client who needs a reply. A scheduled task wrote it overnight while the machine stayed on. That is the point of always-on: the work starts before you do.
Set up around you. Maintained by me, personally.
- A dedicated machine running your assistant, always on
- The full setup done for you, plus hands-on help and troubleshooting through your entire first month
- Remote access so you control it from your phone
- Skills built around your business, added as I get to know your work, with something custom by your second month
- Your own private "Brain" (your context vault). It stays yours. I help keep it current; I am never living in it.
- Direct access to me, not a support ticket queue
Why memcor
Built around your needs, not a template
No generic chatbot. Every setup is built around your data, your workflows, and your goals through a one-on-one interview.
Your data stays yours
Your Brain lives on hardware you own, not someone else's cloud. Cancel a big platform and everything it learned about you is gone. Cancel memcor and your Brain stays yours.
Done for you, not another project on your list
You get a working assistant without becoming your own IT department, set up and kept running by a real person, not a support script.
A direct line to me, not a ticket queue
Setup, tuning, and new skills come from a real relationship, not a rotating support team or an anonymous chatbot.
Cancel and keep everything
Leave anytime and you keep the Mac mini, the Brain, and everything the assistant has learned. No hostage memory, no lock-in.
Who Am I?
Hi, I'm Pax. I'm a student who runs on AI, and I kept slamming into the same wall: it forgets. Every new chat starts blank, so you end up being the memory, repeating who you are and what you've already done, over and over. That's backwards. So I fixed it. memcor is an assistant that actually remembers, gets sharper the more you use it, and doesn't wipe itself the moment you close the tab. I build every one by hand. Reach out and you're talking to the person running your system, not a ticket queue.
Your AI, Built Around the Way You Work.
Every business leader works differently, which is why every memcor deployment is customized from the start. I begin with a discovery conversation to understand your needs, goals, and workflows, then design a personal AI system that grows alongside you.
What's included in setup
What's included ongoing
Your own Claude plan is billed separately by Anthropic, never bundled or marked up, and Obsidian's multi-computer sync is optional and billed to you directly if you want it. Cancel anytime. Want something bigger built? I research it and send you a fixed quote up front, and take it on as my schedule allows.
Common questions.
Who is behind memcor?
I'm Pax, founder of memcor. Every setup is built and maintained by me personally, not a support team.
Where does my data live?
Your "Brain" lives on the hardware in your possession, not a third-party cloud.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep the Mac mini and your Brain. Both are yours. Canceling ends only the ongoing memcor service (support, tuning, and new skills). Nothing else changes.
What if the hardware fails?
Because you own the Mac, it is covered by Apple's standard warranty, and I'll ask at setup whether you want to add AppleCare. Any repair or replacement is handled through Apple, and hardware costs are the owner's.
Is this locked to one AI provider?
No. The Brain is plain markdown, readable by any AI that can read files.
Two ways to reach me.
Request a private consultation
Tell me a bit about you and what's on your plate. I'll follow up personally.
The Brain, explained.
The Brain is the memory your assistant runs on. memcor is short for memory cortex, and the Brain is that cortex: the part that remembers, so you don't have to. Here is what it actually is, and why it stays yours.
The name
memcor is short for memory cortex: the part of your setup that remembers, awake around the clock.
Three layers
Raw holds your original sources, word for word. Wiki holds the distilled conclusions in your own voice. An index holds the schema that ties them together. Every conversation feeds these layers, which is why your Brain compounds instead of resetting.
Obsidian
Your Brain is plain markdown in an Obsidian vault: local files you own, readable by any AI that can open a folder, synced across your devices.
The always-on Mac mini
The bridge. Your cloud and phone sessions can read and update your Brain only because a machine at home never sleeps.
Tailscale
A private network between your devices and your mini. Reach it from anywhere, with no ports exposed to the open internet.
Orchestration
Big tasks launch on a powerful model that fans the easy parts out to faster, cheaper agents, then pulls their results back into one answer. Better output, lower cost.
While you slept
A scheduled task writes your morning briefing before you wake: the day's priorities, the deadlines creeping up, and the week's open items refreshed. Your morning starts a step ahead, because the machine never turned off.
Skills
Portable, versioned capabilities stored in your vault. Custom ones arrive in stages: alpha to try, beta to trust, then general availability.
A system that audits itself
Weekly health checks, a watch on vendor changes, and a monthly recap that shows the work in black and white.
Security, plainly
One client per machine. Your data stays local. Access is over Tailscale only. Nothing pooled, nothing shared, nothing trained on.
Put those together and you get something that compounds. Most software is worth the same the day you cancel as the day you bought it. The Brain is the opposite. Every session adds context, every week adds skills, and the assistant gets sharper at your specific world the longer it runs. Month twelve is smarter than month one.
That is also why you are never locked in. The value lives in your files, not in my tooling. If you ever walk away, you keep the Brain, the hardware, and everything the assistant has learned. You are buying a memory that is yours to keep, not a subscription that forgets you the moment you stop paying.
Your data stays yours.
Nothing is shared across clients
Your information is never shared with, or visible to, any other client. What is yours stays yours.
I keep only what you tell me
The only information I hold is what you share with me directly, and only so I can help build and improve your setup.
Your data lives on your machine
Your Brain and your data are stored locally on the machine you own. I have access only during scheduled setup and tuning sessions, with you present or aware. I never have standing access to your machine. It is your Brain, not mine.
I never ask for your Apple ID
I never ask for your Apple ID, or for any password I do not need. Your mini runs without one. Claude signs in with a short code you read to me from your phone, your Obsidian password stays yours, and every account on your machine belongs to you.
Terms of Service
Last updated: July 23, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of the products and services provided by memcor ("memcor," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by Pax Keiser as a sole proprietor based in New York. By purchasing or using our services, you ("you," "your," or the "Client") agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
1. The service
memcor sets up and supports always-on personal AI assistants for individual business clients. Our work includes:
- Done-for-you setup. We configure a Mac mini to run an always-on assistant, set up remote access so you can reach it from your phone, build skills around your business through a one-on-one interview, and deliver a private plain-text "Brain" (your context vault) that we keep current.
- Monthly service. A defined ongoing package: new skills added over time, including custom skills built for your work, plus tuning, updates, a weekly health check, and basic support. Your Brain's Learning space is your first stop for day-to-day learning and how-to help. This is a bounded amount of work; larger custom projects fall under Custom work below.
- Custom work. Anything beyond the standard setup and plan. Larger projects are researched and quoted as a fixed bid up front before any work begins, and are taken on as availability allows.
The exact deliverables and scope for your engagement are the ones we agree in writing. Anything not agreed in writing is out of scope and, if requested, is treated as additional work to be quoted separately.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the services. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.
3. Fees and payment
- Setup fee. A one-time fee for the done-for-you setup, quoted before you buy. It is non-refundable once work begins, including the interview, provisioning, or skill-building.
- Hardware. The Mac mini is billed as a separate line item and is not included in the setup fee. See Section 5.
- Monthly plan. The ongoing service is billed in advance and renews automatically each period until cancelled. We will give reasonable notice of any change to the fee, effective at your next renewal.
- Taxes. Fees are exclusive of taxes. Any applicable sales tax is added at checkout, and you are responsible for taxes other than taxes on our income.
- Processing. Payments are handled by a third-party processor (Stripe). You agree to the processor's terms. We do not store your full card details.
- Late or failed payment. If a payment fails or is past due, we may suspend service, including support and updates, until the balance is paid, and may terminate for continued non-payment.
4. Your own software and third-party services
Your assistant relies on third-party services, most importantly the Claude AI service from Anthropic. You obtain, maintain, and pay for your own third-party subscriptions directly with those vendors. We never bundle, resell, mark up, or front these costs. A typical Claude plan runs on the order of one hundred to two hundred dollars per month depending on your use; that is your bill, separate from what you pay us. If you want to run your Brain across more than one computer, Obsidian's sync service is an optional add-on you also pay for directly.
We are not responsible for any third-party service's outages, price or feature changes, data accuracy, account suspensions, or terms. If a third party changes something that affects your assistant, we will make reasonable efforts to adapt the setup, which may be billed as additional work if it falls outside the agreed scope.
5. Hardware
- You own it. You purchase the Mac mini, and ownership passes to you once the hardware line item is paid in full. It is yours to keep.
- AppleCare. At setup we will ask whether you want to add AppleCare. Choosing it is your decision and your cost.
- Warranty and repairs. The Mac is covered only by Apple's manufacturer warranty, and by AppleCare if you add it, which runs directly between you and Apple. Because you own the machine, any repair or replacement is handled through Apple and is your cost. We make no separate hardware warranty.
- No liability for hardware. We are not liable for hardware failure, defects, loss, theft, damage, or for any downtime or data loss resulting from hardware failure. You are responsible for physical security, power, internet connectivity, and backups for the machine at your location.
6. Cancellation, refunds, and the fair-value guarantee
- Month-to-month. The monthly plan is month-to-month. You can cancel anytime, effective at the end of your current period.
- What you keep. On cancellation you keep the Mac mini and your Brain, both of which are yours. Only the ongoing memcor service (support, tuning, and new skills) ends. Nothing else changes.
- Setup fee. The setup fee is non-refundable once work begins.
- Fair-value guarantee. If in any week you do not feel you got what you paid for, you do not pay for that week. Tell me and I will credit or refund that week, no hassle. This is a good-faith commitment, applied reasonably.
7. Support
Support covers reasonable-use help with running your assistant, minor tweaks to existing skills, and update pushes as released. Your Brain's Learning space is the first stop for day-to-day learning and how-to questions, with my direct support for what it does not cover. memcor is run by one person who is also a student, so support is asynchronous (message or email), provided during reasonable hours, and subject to a reasonable-use limit. We target a response within about forty-eight hours, but response times are targets, not guarantees, and this is not 24/7 support. New custom skills and work outside the agreed scope are billed separately.
8. Data, privacy, and confidentiality
Your data and your Brain live locally on the machine you own. We connect only during setup and scheduled tuning sessions to do the work, never standing access. Your information is never shared with, or visible to, any other client. The only information we retain is what you choose to share with us directly, and only so we can build and improve your setup. Each of us will keep the other's non-public information confidential and use it only to provide or receive the services. See our Privacy page for more.
9. Intellectual property
We own and keep all rights to our reusable skills, frameworks, templates, methods, prompts, and tooling, including improvements made during your engagement. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the deliverables, meaning your setup, skills, and vault, for your own use. You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, publish, or share our skills or materials with any third party. You own the data and content you place in your vault.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the services for anything unlawful, to infringe the rights of others, or to misuse or attempt to compromise the systems we set up. Misuse may result in suspension or termination.
11. Financial and automated features
If your setup includes any trading, market-data, analysis, or automated-execution features, the following applies. These tools are decision-support only. They are not financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, and not a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold anything. Automated execution carries a substantial risk of loss, including your entire invested capital. AI systems can produce errors, inaccurate outputs, or unexpected behavior, and automated systems can malfunction. memcor is not a registered broker-dealer or investment adviser and makes no guarantee of any performance, profit, accuracy, or uptime. You are solely responsible for all trades, orders, configurations, risk limits, and any resulting gains or losses, whether placed manually or automatically, and you use any automated feature entirely at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you waive and release any claim against memcor arising from trading or financial losses or the performance of any such feature.
12. Disclaimers
The services, software, skills, vault, and any deliverables are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to these Terms is limited to the total fees you actually paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or trading or financial losses, even if advised of the possibility. You acknowledge these limits reflect the allocation of risk between us and that the fees would be higher without them.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless memcor and its operator from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your use or misuse of the services, any trading or financial activity, your violation of these Terms or any law, or your third-party accounts and services.
15. Term and termination
These Terms apply while you use the services. Either of us may end the monthly plan with reasonable notice before the next renewal. We may suspend or terminate immediately for non-payment or misuse. On termination, your license to our materials ends, fees already earned (including the setup fee and any completed custom-build milestones) are non-refundable, and you keep your own vault, data, and hardware.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes take effect at your next renewal or with reasonable notice. Continuing to use the services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in New York have jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any agreed dispute-resolution process.
18. Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with any written order or statement of work, are the entire agreement between us and supersede prior discussions. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them in connection with a sale or reorganization of the business. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. memcor is an independent contractor; these Terms do not create a partnership, employment, or agency relationship. Neither of us is liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control.
